What can I offer you in counselling or psychotherapy?

  • A non-judgemental, and confidential therapeutic relationship in an environment separate from your daily life
  • A therapist who relates to you with integrity and respect
  • Support and constructive challenge to help you explore difficult feelings and thoughts and discover new perspectives
  • An opportunity to increase your awareness of how you relate to other people and situations
  • An opportunity to increase your understanding of how you can empower yourself to move forward
  • A creative approach that enables you to find your inner resources and awaken your full potential
    • It is an opportunity to express your feelings, unravel your thoughts, assess past experience and gather what is helpful and learn how to let go of what is not.

Counselling or psychotherapy cannot remove the external pressures in your life and is not a ‘magic wand’ guaranteed to make you feel better. It can help you increase your understanding of your feelings and reactions to various situations and help you find better strategies for coping with difficulties in everyday life or major life events.
Counselling may be open ended, for a time limited period or in the case of professional support, a one-off consultation. The number and frequency of sessions will depend on the nature of the difficulty you wish to explore.
